Winter Sangria

A vibrant and festive winter sangria filled with seasonal fruits and spices, perfect for gatherings.

  • 1 bottle white wine (Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio)
  • ½ cup brandy
  • 2 apples, sliced
  • 2 pears, sliced
  • 1 orange, cut into rounds
  • ½ cup pomegranate seeds
  • 23 cinnamon sticks
  • Optional: orange liqueur or honey, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare your fruits: Slice the apples and pears into thin wedges; remove the seeds from the orange and cut it into rounds. Add pomegranate seeds for a pop of color and crunch.
  2. Mix the base: In your pitcher, combine a bottle of chilled white wine and ½ cup of brandy. Stir gently to mix.
  3. Add sweetness: If desired, mix in your choice of orange liqueur or a dash of honey, tasting as you go to achieve your perfect balance.
  4. Infuse with spices: Drop 2-3 cinnamon sticks into the pitcher.
  5. Combine the fruits: Add all the prepared fruits into the pitcher, giving it a gentle stir.
  6. Chill & serve: Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 120-240 minutes, or overnight for maximum flavor infusion.

Notes

Allow the sangria to chill overnight for best flavor. Experiment with seasonal fruits to customize the recipe.
