Ultimate Chocolate Turtle Cake

A stunning chocolate cake layered with caramel, pecans, and topped with whipped cream, perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 package chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Chocolate syrup for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your cake pan.
  2. Combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs in a large mixing bowl. Use an electric mixer to blend until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes before transferring it to a cooling rack.
  5. Slice the cooled cake in half horizontally with a serrated knife.
  6. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the bottom layer, then sprinkle with half of the pecans and chocolate chips.
  7. Place the top layer back on and repeat with the remaining caramel sauce, pecans, and chocolate chips.
  8. Top with whipped cream and drizzle with chocolate syrup before serving.

Notes

This cake can be made a day in advance and stored in an airtight container. You can also use gluten-free cake mix or substitute nuts as desired.
