Summer Herb No-Knead Bread: Bake Effortlessly Today!

A simple and flavorful no-knead bread infused with fresh summer herbs, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh herbs (such as basil, parsley, and thyme)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and yeast.
  2. Add the warm water and stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Fold in the chopped herbs until evenly distributed.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rise at room temperature for 12-18 hours.
  5. After the dough has risen, preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and place a Dutch oven inside to heat up.
  6. Carefully transfer the dough onto a floured surface and shape it into a ball.
  7. Once the Dutch oven is hot, place the dough inside (you can use parchment paper for easier transfer).
  8. Cover and bake for 30 minutes, then remove the lid and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let the bread cool on a wire rack before slicing.

  • Feel free to experiment with different herbs based on your preference.
  • This bread is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for a few days.
  • For a crustier bread, bake it longer without the lid.
