Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine sliced peaches, 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a large bowl; toss gently.
  3. Spread the peach mixture evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Whisk together flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt in another bowl; gradually stir in milk until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter over the peach mixture, spreading evenly without mixing.
  6. Drizzle melted butter over the batter.
  7. Bake for about 45 minutes or until golden brown and bubbling.
  8. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Use ripe peaches for the best flavor. You can prep the peach mixture a few hours in advance.
