- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup roasted red peppers, chopped
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- In a large bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add olive oil, salt, and half of the flour to the yeast mixture. Mix until combined.
- Gradually add the remaining flour, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Punch down the risen dough and fold in the roasted red peppers, oregano, and garlic powder.
- Spread the dough onto a greased baking sheet, pressing it out to fit the pan.
- Let the dough rise for another 20 minutes.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool before slicing.
