  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup roasted red peppers, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add olive oil, salt, and half of the flour to the yeast mixture. Mix until combined.
  3. Gradually add the remaining flour, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  7. Punch down the risen dough and fold in the roasted red peppers, oregano, and garlic powder.
  8. Spread the dough onto a greased baking sheet, pressing it out to fit the pan.
  9. Let the dough rise for another 20 minutes.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool before slicing.

  • For extra flavor, sprinkle some sea salt and fresh herbs on top before baking.
