Roasted Cabbage Steaks

Delicious roasted cabbage steaks that are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, making them a perfect side dish or snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 head of green cabbage
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional seasonings: garlic powder, paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prepare the cabbage by removing outer leaves and slicing it into thick steaks, about 1-inch thick.
  3. Season the steaks by brushing them with olive oil and sprinkling with salt, pepper, and optional seasonings.
  4. Arrange the cabbage steaks on a baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced out.
  5. Roast in the oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Cabbage steaks can be sliced a day in advance; store wrapped in plastic in the refrigerator. They can also be made in an air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes.
