Oven-Fried Feta Rolls

Crispy phyllo dough rolls filled with creamy feta cheese and fragrant herbs, perfect as an elegant appetizer or a delightful snack.

  • 8 oz Feta Cheese, crumbled
  • 6 sheets Phyllo Dough
  • 4 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1 cup Bread Crumbs (panko preferred)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano
  • 1 tsp Dried Thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Crumble the feta cheese into a mixing bowl and combine with oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Layer several sheets of phyllo dough, brushing each with olive oil.
  4. Place a spoonful of the feta mixture at one end of the phyllo dough and roll tightly, tucking in the edges.
  5. Brush the rolls with olive oil and coat with bread crumbs.
  6. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden and crispy.
  7. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Feel free to add cooked spinach or sun-dried tomatoes to the filling for extra flavor.
