One-Pot Philly Cheesesteak Soup with Bacon Delights You!

A delicious and hearty one-pot soup inspired by the classic Philly cheesesteak, featuring tender beef, crispy bacon, and cheesy toast.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 4 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 slices of bread for toasting

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add the sliced beef and cook until browned.
  3. Add the diced onion and green bell pepper, cooking until softened.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
  6. Mix in the shredded provolone cheese until melted and creamy.
  7. Meanwhile, toast the bread slices and top with additional cheese if desired.
  8. Serve the soup hot, garnished with crispy bacon and cheesy toast on the side.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add sliced jalapeños.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • This soup can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
