Loaded Steak and Potato Bake

A hearty bake that combines tender steak, roasted potatoes, and a gooey layer of melted cheese for a comforting family meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound steak (cubed, sirloin or ribeye)
  • 4 large potatoes (diced, ideally Russets)
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 cup beef broth (low-sodium)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the cubed steak, searing until golden brown, then remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté the onion and garlic in the same skillet until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Mix in the potatoes, beef broth, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir and let simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Combine the steak and potato mixture in a baking dish, spreading evenly. Sprinkle cheese generously over the top.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Customize by adding veggies like bell peppers or mushrooms. Consider using ground turkey for a lighter option.
