Juicy Steak Kebabs with Savory Marinade

  • 0.25 cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 2 tablespoons Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 1.5 pounds Sirloin Steak, cut into inch pieces
  • 2 cups Button or Cremini Mushrooms
  • 2 cups Bell Peppers, varied colors
  • 1 large Red Onion, diced into -inch chunks

  • as needed pieces Wooden Skewers (soaked in water)

Instructions

  1. Whisk the Marinade: In a bowl, combine the olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, red wine vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, honey, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and freshly ground black pepper. Adjust to taste.
  2. Marinate the Steak: Place the sirloin steak pieces in a resealable plastic bag or bowl. Pour half of the marinade over the steak, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Secure the bag or cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 60 minutes.
  3. Prepare the Vegetables: While the meat marinates, chop the bell peppers, mushrooms, and red onion into suitable sizes for skewering.
  4. Assemble the Kebabs: Remove the steak from the marinade (discard the used marinade). Alternate threading the steak, vegetables, and any remaining raw pieces onto the soaked skewers in vibrant patterns.
  5. Preheat the Grill: Heat your grill to medium-high heat, aiming for around 400°F (200°C).
  6. Grill the Kebabs: Place the prepared skewers onto the hot grill. Cook for 8-10 minutes, rotating every few minutes.
  7. Rest and Serve: Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
