  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water (110°F)
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
  3. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Punch down the risen dough and fold in the cheeses.
  8. Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan.
  9. Cover and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
  11. Let it cool before slicing and serving.

  • For extra flavor, you can add chopped fresh herbs like basil or oregano.
  • This bread can be served warm or toasted.
