Delicious crispy towers of ham and cheese wrapped in flaky puff pastry, perfect for gatherings and cozy evenings.

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 4 slices of ham
  • 4 slices of cheese (Swiss or cheddar)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: herbs for garnish (fresh parsley or thyme)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Flour your surface and roll out the puff pastry until it is about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. Cut the pastry into squares that are about 4 inches wide.
  4. Layer a slice of ham on top of one square, followed by a slice of cheese.
  5. Top with another square of pastry and press down gently to seal.
  6. Repeat layering until all ingredients are used.
  7. Beat the egg and brush the mixture over the tops of each tower.
  8. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and any desired herbs on top.
  9. Arrange the towers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  10. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Serve warm and enjoy!
