Honey Butter Dinner Rolls: Discover the Secret Recipe!

Deliciously soft and fluffy dinner rolls brushed with a sweet honey butter glaze.

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball.
  7. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. While the rolls are baking, mix softened butter and honey in a small bowl.
  10. Brush the honey butter mixture over the warm rolls as soon as they come out of the oven.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon to the honey butter.
  • These rolls can be made ahead and frozen before baking.
  • Serve warm for the best taste.
