Homemade Pizza

Create your own delicious homemade pizza from scratch with customized toppings and a perfect crust.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Toppings of your choice

Instructions

  1. Combine warm water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl and let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Mix flour and salt in a large bowl. Create a well, then add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5–7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  6. Roll out the risen dough to your desired thickness on a floured surface.
  7. Transfer the dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Spread pizza sauce, sprinkle mozzarella, and add your toppings.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
  10. Remove from the oven, slice, and enjoy!

Notes

To store leftovers, let pizza cool and wrap tightly. It keeps in the fridge for up to 3 days or can be frozen for 2 months.
