Hamburger and Grilled Cheese Sandwich

A delightful combination of a juicy hamburger patty and a gooey grilled cheese sandwich, perfect for satisfying cravings.

Ingredients

  • Ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • Sharp cheddar cheese
  • American or Gruyere cheese
  • Thick slices of sourdough or Texas toast
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Optional seasonings (garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika)
  • Butter
  • Optional toppings (lettuce, tomato, pickles, special sauces)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the beef by seasoning ground beef with salt, pepper, and optional seasonings, forming it into a thick patty.
  2. Cook the patty in a heated skillet or griddle for 3-5 minutes, then flip.
  3. Add cheese on top of the patty and cook until melted and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  4. Prepare the bread by buttering one side of each slice.
  5. Assemble the sandwich in the skillet with one slice of bread, cooked patty, and additional cheese if desired.
  6. Grill the sandwich for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Slice and serve warm to enjoy the cheesy goodness.

Notes

For additional flavor, add caramelized onions, crispy bacon, or sautéed mushrooms. Ensure your bread is at room temperature for even grilling.
