Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Beat the softened butter and cream cheese together until smooth and creamy.
  3. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing thoroughly until combined.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. Fold in the flour, salt, and chopped pecans gently with a spatula.
  7. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool before slicing.

Notes

This cake can be made a day in advance for better flavor. It also freezes well and can be reheated in the microwave.
