Easy Spicy Salmon Sushi Bake

A simple yet indulgent sushi bake featuring creamy, spicy salmon atop fluffy sushi rice, perfect for gatherings or cozy dinners.

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1 lb salmon, cooked and flaked
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions
  • Nori sheets (for serving)
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  3. Combine the rice and water in a rice cooker or pot and cook according to package instructions.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked salmon, mayonnaise, sriracha, soy sauce, sesame oil, and chopped green onions. Mix well.
  5. Spread the cooked rice evenly in a baking dish.
  6. Layer the salmon mixture on top of the rice.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until heated through.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds if desired, and serve with nori sheets for wrapping.

Notes

Make-ahead magic: Prep your rice and salmon mixture a few hours ahead of time for easy assembly. Adjust cooking times if using an air fryer.
