A delicious and irresistible garlic bread focaccia that combines the flavors of garlic and herbs with a soft, fluffy texture.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  6. Once risen, punch down the dough and spread it onto a greased baking sheet.
  7. In a small bowl, mix minced garlic, parsley, oregano, and black pepper. Spread this mixture over the dough.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add grated Parmesan cheese on top before baking.
  • Serve warm for the best taste.
  • This focaccia can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
