Churro Saltine Toffee

A delightful treat that combines the salty crunch of saltine crackers with rich homemade toffee and a hint of cinnamon, perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 sleeve saltine crackers
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line your baking sheet with foil or parchment paper and arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer.
  3. Melt the butter and brown sugar together in a medium saucepan over medium heat until it boils.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract and remove from heat.
  5. Pour the toffee mixture evenly over the crackers.
  6. Bake for 5-7 minutes until bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with cinnamon and powdered sugar.
  8. Let cool completely before breaking into pieces.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to a week. Can also freeze for longer storage.
