Cheesy Onion Crisps

Crispy, cheesy bites made with fried onions, cheddar, and parmesan, perfect for parties and snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups crispy fried onions
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the crispy fried onions, grated cheddar cheese, and grated parmesan cheese until well combined.
  2. Add the all-purpose flour, beaten egg, salt, and pepper to the mixture. Combine everything thoroughly until you get a uniform mixture.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. The oil should be about an inch deep for the crisps to fry evenly.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture into the hot oil. Fry until they turn a beautiful golden brown, around 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Once golden, use a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  6. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes
