Classic Cheesecake

A luxurious and creamy cheesecake with a buttery graham cracker crust, perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 24 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar in a mixing bowl.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased springform pan.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes until lightly golden, then cool.
  5. Beat cream cheese in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  6. Gradually add sugar and mix until no lumps remain.
  7. Add sour cream and heavy cream, then beat in eggs one at a time.
  8. Pour the filling into the crust, smoothing the surface.
  9. Bake for 55-70 minutes, until the center is slightly jiggly.
  10. Cool in the oven with the door cracked for an hour, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

Notes

For best results, make the cheesecake a day in advance and chill before serving. Serve with toppings like fresh fruit, chocolate ganache, or caramel sauce.
