  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning

  • Cooked rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes for serving

Instructions

  1. Start by melting the butter in the slow cooker.
  2. Once melted, toss in the chopped onion and minced garlic, letting them cook until they soften slightly.
  3. Carefully place the chicken breasts on top of the onion mixture.
  4. Season them generously with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour the chicken broth over the chicken.
  6. Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  7. When the chicken is done, shred it in the sauce using two forks.
