Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread

A moist and flavorful bread infused with pumpkin and chocolate chips, perfect for autumn.

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. Whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger in a medium bowl.
  3. Combine the pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, sour cream, eggs, and vanilla extract in a large bowl until smooth.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
  7. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Make-ahead: Prepare batter a day in advance and refrigerate. Cooking alternatives: Air fry at 320°F for 25-30 minutes. Customize with nuts or a glaze if desired.
