Baked Ham & Cheese Mozzarella Sticks You Can’t Resist!

Delicious baked ham and cheese mozzarella sticks that are crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside.

Ingredients

  • 8 mozzarella sticks
  • 4 slices of ham
  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup of flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut the ham slices into strips that can wrap around the mozzarella sticks.
  3. Wrap each mozzarella stick with a strip of ham.
  4. Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Dip each ham-wrapped mozzarella stick first in flour, then in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumb mixture.
  6. Place the coated sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add some grated Parmesan cheese to the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
  • These can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
