- 8 mozzarella sticks
- 4 slices of ham
- 1 cup of breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup of flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut the ham slices into strips that can wrap around the mozzarella sticks.
- Wrap each mozzarella stick with a strip of ham.
- Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each ham-wrapped mozzarella stick first in flour, then in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place the coated sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add some grated Parmesan cheese to the breadcrumb mixture.
- Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
- These can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
