A flavorful and tangy spiced apple chutney that adds a delicious twist to your meals.

  • 4 cups apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine the chopped apples and onions.
  2. Add the brown sugar and apple cider vinegar to the pot.
  3. Stir in the ginger, garlic, and all the spices.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
  5. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Once the chutney has thickened, remove it from heat and let it cool.
  7. Transfer the chutney to sterilized jars and seal them.
  8. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 months.
