Slow Cooker Cheesy Chicken Penne: A Family Favorite!

A delicious and easy-to-make slow cooker dish featuring tender chicken and creamy cheese sauce over penne pasta, perfect for family dinners.

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups penne pasta
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
  4. Cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  5. About 30 minutes before serving, add the penne pasta and diced tomatoes to the slow cooker.
  6. Once the pasta is cooked, stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños or red pepper flakes.
