Shrimp Quesadilla with Melty Cheese: Irresistibly Delicious!

A delicious shrimp quesadilla filled with melty cheese, perfect for a quick meal or snack.

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Monterey Jack)
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, season the shrimp with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the shrimp until pink and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, place one tortilla and sprinkle half of the cheese on one half of the tortilla.
  5. Add a portion of the cooked shrimp on top of the cheese.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the shrimp and fold the tortilla in half.
  7. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the tortilla is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  8. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.
  9. Slice the quesadillas and serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro if desired.

Notes

  • Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or onions for extra flavor.
  • Serve with salsa or guacamole for dipping.
  • Adjust the spice level by adding jalapeños or hot sauce.
