  • 1 cup grits
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a pot, bring water to a boil and add grits, cooking until thickened.
  3. Stir in butter, milk, and cheese until melted and smooth.
  4. In a skillet, sauté shrimp with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until pink.
  5. Combine the shrimp with the grits mixture and fold in green onions.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.
