Seafood Bisque

A rich and creamy seafood bisque that features shrimp, crab, and lobster, creating a comforting and elegant dish perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb mixed seafood (shrimp, crab, and lobster)
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 4 cups seafood stock
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (parsley or chives) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
  2. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until it forms a smooth roux.
  3. Pour in the seafood stock while whisking to avoid lumps. Let it come to a gentle simmer.
  4. Introduce the mixed seafood into the pot and cook for 5-7 minutes until the shrimp turns pink and the lobster becomes opaque.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream, seasoning with salt and pepper. Allow to simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs.

Notes

Make ahead of time and let the flavors deepen overnight; just add cream before reheating.
