Pumpkin Fritters with Cinnamon Sugar: A Fall Delight!

Delicious pumpkin fritters coated in cinnamon sugar, perfect for fall.

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for coating)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together pumpkin puree, milk, and egg.
  2. In another bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides.
  6. Remove fritters and drain on paper towels.
  7. In a small bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon for coating.
  8. While still warm, toss fritters in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
