  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese with the powdered sugar and pumpkin spice until smooth.
  7. Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, then dollop the cream cheese mixture on top.
  8. Spread the remaining brownie batter over the cream cheese layer and swirl with a knife.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark cocoa powder.
