- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
- Crushed peppermint candies for topping
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the sugar until well combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and peppermint extract.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are set.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with crushed peppermint candies.
- Let cool before serving.
