One Pot Garlic Butter Pasta

A simple yet flavorful one-pot dish featuring garlic and butter-coated pasta, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or your favorite variety)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat, letting it froth and turn golden.
  2. Sauté the minced garlic for about one minute until fragrant but not browned.
  3. Combine the pasta with vegetable broth, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir vigorously.
  4. Bring everything to a rolling boil before reducing the heat to a gentle simmer.
  5. Cook the pasta, stirring occasionally, until al dente and most of the liquid is absorbed, about 10–12 minutes.
  6. Finish by stirring in the Parmesan cheese for a rich creaminess.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For a creamier version, consider adding heavy cream or a vegan substitute. Customize with your choice of vegetables or protein.
