- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and heavy cream over medium heat.
- Stir until the mixture comes to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Add maple syrup and continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture reaches the soft-ball stage (234°F to 240°F).
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and chopped walnuts.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 8×8 inch pan and let it cool completely.
- Once cooled, cut into squares and serve.
Notes

- For a creamier texture, you can add a little more heavy cream.
