Maple Pecan Shortbread Cookies You Must Try Today!

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the maple syrup and mix until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  6. Shape the dough into a log and wrap it in plastic wrap. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Slice the chilled dough into 1/4 inch thick rounds and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

  • For a stronger maple flavor, you can add a bit more maple syrup.
