  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg (optional for binding)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Slice the onions into thick rings, gently separating them.
  3. Mix the parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Beat the egg in a separate bowl if using.
  5. Dip each onion ring into the egg mixture, then coat with the cheese mixture.
  6. Place the onion rings on a lined baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced out.
  7. Bake for about 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a vegan version, substitute the egg with a flax egg.
