Jalapeño Poppers

A creamy and spicy appetizer featuring jalapeños stuffed with cheese and baked to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 10 fresh jalapeños
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped (optional)
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Garlic powder, optional
  • Onion powder, optional
  • Smoked paprika, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the jalapeños by cutting them in half lengthwise and deseeding them carefully.
  3. Make the cheese filling by combining cream cheese, cheddar cheese, salt, and optional spices in a mixing bowl.
  4. Stuff each jalapeño half generously with the cheese mixture.
  5. Place the stuffed jalapeños on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Add chopped bacon on top of the jalapeños if using, and then sprinkle breadcrumbs over each one.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes until the peppers are tender and tops are golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

Serve with guacamole, sour cream, or buffalo sauce for an extra flavor boost.
