Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Delicious and moist banana bread with gooey chocolate chips, perfect for breakfast or as an indulgent snack.

  • 3 overripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease your loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
  3. Mash the bananas in a bowl until creamy using a fork.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Whisk until smooth, then mix in the eggs.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool further before slicing.

Notes

For the best texture, allow the bread to cool completely before slicing. Consider adding nuts or spices for extra flavor.
