Healthy Garlic Butter Shrimp and Broccoli

  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Start by melting the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Sauté the minced garlic in the melted butter for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Cook the shrimp, seasoning with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes, for 1-2 minutes on one side before flipping and cooking until pink and opaque (about 3-4 minutes total).
  4. Add the broccoli and cover the skillet, cooking for another 3-4 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender.
  5. Finish by squeezing fresh lemon juice over the top before serving.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy with optional red pepper flakes on top.

Notes

Consider using tail-off shrimp for easier eating and prepare garlic and broccoli ahead to reduce cooking time.
