Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine wet ingredients: In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla: Introduce the eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Whisk dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Combine wet and dry mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix just until combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips: Use a rubber spatula to gently fold in the chips.
  7. Shape and place on baking sheets: Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set.
  9. Cool on a wire rack.
