- 6 cups of cubed bread
- 4 cups of eggnog
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup of raisins (optional)
- Butter for greasing the baking dish
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggnog, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
- Add the cubed bread to the mixture and stir until well combined.
- If using, fold in the raisins.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
