Strawberry Cheesecake Sweet Rolls

  • 1 package of crescent roll dough
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Powdered sugar (for serving, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Roll out the crescent roll dough onto a floured surface and pinch the seams to create a rectangle.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border.
  5. Mix the diced strawberries with the strawberry jam until coated, then spread this mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  6. Roll the dough tightly away from you and slice into 1-inch pieces.
  7. Place the rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Cool slightly on a wire rack and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

For a vegan version, substitute cream cheese with a vegan alternative and omit the egg wash.
