Easy Strawberry Cheesecake Sweet Rolls

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  2. Mix the milk, melted butter, and egg in another bowl and combine with dry ingredients to form dough.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, chopped strawberries, lemon juice, and vanilla until smooth.
  7. Roll the risen dough into a rectangle and spread the cheesecake mixture over it.
  8. Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 12 rolls.
  9. Arrange the rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for a bit.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Consider using Greek yogurt or different fruits for variations. Refrigerate for up to 1 day before baking.
