Crispy Ham & Cheese Puff Pastry Stacks

Deliciously flaky pastries filled with savory ham and melted cheese, perfect for any gathering.

  • 1 package of puff pastry sheets
  • 8 oz sliced ham
  • 8 oz sliced cheese (Swiss or cheddar)
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Mustard or garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface and cut them into equal squares or rectangles (about 3 inches).
  3. Layer half of the pastry squares with slices of ham and cheese.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings.
  5. Top with another square of puff pastry and press the edges to seal tightly.
  6. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden-brown.
  8. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Make-ahead tip: Assemble a day prior and refrigerate. Adjust baking time if cold.
