Crab & Shrimp Queso

A luxurious cheese dip combining creamy layers of cheese with fresh crab and succulent shrimp, perfect for gatherings.

  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 cup crab meat
  • 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes (canned or fresh)
  • 1/4 cup diced green onions
  • 1 jalapeño, diced (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Tortilla chips or bread for serving

Instructions

  1. Combine the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and Monterey Jack cheese in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir continuously until melted and smooth.
  2. Add the crab meat, chopped shrimp, diced tomatoes, and green onions. If desired, toss in the jalapeño along with the garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Continue to cook and stir occasionally until everything is heated through, about 5–7 minutes.
  4. Scoop the mixture into a serving dish and enjoy immediately with tortilla chips or warm bread.

Notes

For added flavor, drizzle lime juice over the queso just before serving. Can be prepared in advance and stored in the fridge prior to cooking.
