Coffee Caramel Brownies

Indulge in rich chocolate brownies with swirls of creamy caramel and a hint of coffee for an extraordinary treat.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup brewed coffee
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt butter in a large bowl, blending in sugar until smooth and creamy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Fold the dry mixture into the wet batter gently.
  4. Stir in brewed coffee until the batter is velvety.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and drizzle half of the caramel sauce on top.
  6. Add the remaining brownie batter and top with the rest of the caramel sauce. Swirl gently with a knife.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until edges are set and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  8. Cool in the pan before slicing into squares.

Notes

You can prepare the brownie batter a day in advance for enhanced flavor. Consider adding a pinch of sea salt or nuts for texture.
