Chinese Beef and Broccoli (One Pan Take-Out) Simplified!

A simplified recipe for Chinese Beef and Broccoli that can be made in one pan, perfect for a quick and delicious take-out style meal at home.

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the pan and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add minced garlic and broccoli florets to the pan, stir-frying for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer, cooking until the broccoli is tender.
  6. Drizzle with sesame oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or sliced chili peppers.
  • Feel free to substitute the beef with chicken or tofu for a different protein option.
  • Make sure not to overcook the broccoli to retain its crunch.
