Baked Chicken Tenders

Crispy and flavorful baked chicken tenders that are the perfect combination of health and indulgence.

  • 1 lb chicken tenderloins
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (or nutritional yeast for a vegan option)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 beaten eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a wire rack.
  2. Pat the chicken tenderloins dry with paper towels.
  3. In a bowl, mix olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Coat each chicken tenderloin in this mixture.
  4. Set up three bowls: one with seasoned flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan cheese.
  5. Dip each seasoned tenderloin in flour, then in beaten eggs, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  6. Lay the breaded tenderloins on the prepared baking sheet or wire rack and bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
  7. Let the chicken tenders rest for a few minutes before serving hot with your preferred dipping sauces.

Notes

Make-ahead tips: Prep chicken tenders in advance and refrigerate. Bake just before serving. Try air frying for a healthier option.
