  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prep the chicken by trimming any excess fat and slicing into strips if desired.
  2. Marinate the chicken in a bowl with buttermilk, salt, and pepper for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Make the coating by mixing flour, garlic powder, paprika, and other seasonings in a separate bowl.
  4. Coat the marinated chicken in the seasoned flour, pressing gently to adhere.
  5. Arrange the coated tenders on a baking sheet or air fryer basket.
  6. Cook in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes or in an air fryer at 390°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes.
  7. Check doneness with an instant-read thermometer, ensuring it reads 165°F (75°C).
