Bourbon Strawberry Angel Food Cupcakes You Can’t Resist!

Deliciously light and fluffy angel food cupcakes infused with bourbon and topped with fresh strawberries.

  • 1 cup egg whites (about 8 large eggs)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon bourbon
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • Whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the egg whites until foamy.
  3. Gradually add the sugar, continuing to beat until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold in the cake flour and salt until just combined.
  5. Add the vanilla extract and bourbon, folding gently to incorporate.
  6. Spoon the batter into the prepared cupcake liners, filling them about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the tops are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before topping with whipped cream and sliced strawberries.

Notes

  • Make sure not to overmix the batter to keep the cupcakes light and airy.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, you can omit the bourbon.
  • These cupcakes are best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
